NXP Semiconductors Introduces UHF Smart Label IC

NXPSemiconductors, an independent semiconductor company founded by Philips, has announced the next-generation smart tags ICUCODEG2XM and UCODEG2XL, bringing breakthrough performance to the entire ultra-high frequency (UHF) application. The new UCODE RFID chip operates stably over an extremely wide read range and in a dense card reader environment.

UCODEG2XM and UCODEG2XL can be used to apply RFID technology to multiple application environments requiring different EPC encodings and store additional application data, and support scalable EPC encoding of up to 240 bits for unmatched flexibility. In addition, UCODEG2XM also provides 512-bit user memory, which is the largest dedicated user memory on the market today.

Jan-Willem Reynaerts, General Manager of NXP Semiconductors RFID, said: "Our latest UCODE chip integrates many advanced features that customers need and is fully optimized by NXP's RFID Reference Design Center in Austria. It is suitable for passive smart tags. The best products. UCODEG2XM and UCODEG2XL show superior UHF performance in actual environmental experiments, making it the best choice for the supply chain management and logistics industry. Even in different material environments, even when reading distance is long, With the simultaneous reading of multiple tags, our latest smart tag ICs also maintain reliable performance."

Well-known label manufacturers such as LSIS, KSWMicrotec, RFIDentics, RSIIDTechnologies, Tagsys and UPMRaflatac have thoroughly tested the new G2X chips and given consistently good reversal. In addition, some companies have actively cooperated with end users and are committed to NXP-based The new UCODE series deploys RFID in applications such as footwear, recording media and apparel, and tracks the entire process from electronics manufacturing to global supply chain to retail.

The NXP UCODEG2XM and UCODEG2XL are specifically designed for easy assembly and high volume/high throughput assembly processes. The IC chip is extremely sensitive and can be designed with a wideband antenna. The lead-in line can cover the entire UHF band from 840 MHz to 960 MHz. Both UCODEG2XM and UCODEG2XL are compliant with the EPCglobalClass1Generation2 (C1G2) 1.2.0 standard, and NXP will be available to customers in the form of wafers, tape and surface mount equipment.
