Lighting control and adjustment are mainly reflected in two aspects: first, brightness, that is, control of light intensity, and second, color control.

There are two main methods for controlling brightness: one is mechanical addition and subtraction, that is, by controlling the number of lighting fixtures, the total intensity of illumination is increased or decreased. For single lamps, a visor or iris can be used to change the amount of light transmitted by the luminaire; another method is electrical control, which uses a variety of dimmers to change the operating voltage or current of the luminaire to adjust The luminous intensity of the luminaire has its own characteristics. The advantage of the first method is that it does not affect the color temperature, but the adjustment is not convenient enough. The second method is simple in operation and can realize automatic and program-controlled operations. The disadvantage is that the color temperature and color rendering are greatly changed while changing the luminous intensity.

From the principle of electrical control of lighting, it can be summarized as two kinds of on-off control and luminous intensity control. Correspondingly, there are two methods of switch control and dimming control.

1. Switch control: The switch control device of the light refers to the control of the on/off of the lighting circuit, that is, the various switch devices that control the ignition and extinction of the lamp, including the knife switch, the contactor and the air switch. Among them, the air switch is widely used as the on-off control of the high-power lamps of the dance hall and the main switch of the lighting because of its good protection function.

The use of a toggle switch (or a boat switch) or an air switch to control the on and off of the light is the most common manual (manual) switch control device. For example, the HDL11012 type 12-loop switch board is composed of 12 sets of 15A boat-shaped switches plus fuses, which can control 12-way lights separately. It is suitable for lamps with currents less than 15A, such as various types of rotating lights, strobe lights, violet lights, laser lights, glass balls and most lens-operated lamps. For high-power spotlights, floodlights, and follow-up lights, it is appropriate to use a DZ-type air switch or a CJ10 type contactor with strong arc extinguishing capability.

Since the dance hall needs to display a variety of lighting art effects, in addition to the use of manually operated switchgear, it also uses a variety of special function switch control devices such as sound control (sound control), program control (program control) and even computer control.

Voice-activated lighting equipment allows the light to flash, wiggle or rotate with the beat of the music. There are two ways to control the sound of the light: First, the sound control function is on the luminaire. The luminaire is equipped with a microphone, an amplifier, a relay or a thyristor (thyristor), which directly senses the external sound and controls the motor action to drive the luminaire to scan, rock or Rotation and other actions. The other is that the light console itself has a voice control function, and the principle is to send the sound signal of the mixer to the sound control circuit of the light control station (light control station) to control the on and off of each group of lights. This method is especially suitable for controlling a large number of grouped rain light movements, which are alternately ignited with the music beat, resulting in a colorful flickering effect.

The program-controlled lighting control device uses a light-touch button to trigger the on/off of the thyristor through a digital control circuit, so as to control the respective lamps of the respective groups to be ignited and extinguished according to a certain procedure, thereby generating a certain artistic effect. It is especially suitable for lamps that require continuous turn-off to achieve rain, spotlights and border lights that change colors, patterns and effects in the frontier.

2, dimming control: dimming control is usually to change the size of the current or voltage through the luminaire, to adjust the illuminating brightness of the luminaire. According to the dimming method, there are: rheostat dimming, autotransformer regulator dimming, saturation choke dimming, magnetic amplifier dimming, and thyristor dimming. The first four types of dimming equipment have the disadvantages of large size and bulkiness. Currently widely used is a thyristor dimmer. To this end, we will elaborate later.

The above describes the brightness control of the light. The color control of the light is mainly realized by the computer light in the dance hall, that is, by controlling the color film and the polygon mirror in the computer light to generate more than ten kinds or even dozens of color changes. It is also possible to group batches of spotlights or rainlights, respectively, to install transparent colored paper of different colors, and to control the color change through switches.
