Diodes Announces New ZXLD1374 LED Driver to Generate LED Currents Up to 1.5A

Diodes introduces the new ZXLD1374 LED driver to fully enhance the performance of high-brightness automotive, industrial and commercial lighting systems. The driver operates in buck, boost, and buck-boost modes, and with an integrated 60V power MOSFET switch, it can generate up to 1.5A of maximum LED current. At the same time, high-side current detection and patent-pending control loops enable high-precision LED string current control.

The ZXLD1374 LED driver offers a wide input voltage range of 6V to 60V and achieves a typical 1% output current tolerance in all topologies, thus supporting the high current levels required for high brightness LED systems and the tight brightness between different lamps match. In addition, the device implements dynamic LED thermal management through a dedicated external thermistor input and reports LED driver and load status through fault diagnostic output for higher LED reliability and longer life.

In addition, the driver is equipped with dedicated DC dimming and PWM dimming pins to achieve a dynamic dimming range of 1000:1 at 500Hz, ensuring high brightness at low brightness. Accurate color mixing control and optimal resolution. The ZXLD1374's 1MHz switching frequency, combined with a 100kHz low frequency clamp, helps to reduce the size of external inductors and simplify the design of any input EMI filters.

A battery pack built together with a Battery Management System with an external communication data bus is a smart battery pack. A smart battery pack must be charged by a Smart Battery Charger.

Main functions of BMS: capacity forecast, over current, over voltage, over charge, over discharge, over-temperature protection, single voltage balance, abnormal alarm, CAN-BUS communication, programmable parameters.
