Seoul Semiconductor pushes for the LED chip Acriche A8

On March 9th, Seoul Semiconductor announced the launch of an Acriche A8 LED chip for downlights. The chip can be directly connected to AC power or DC power. According to Seoul Semiconductor's "2011 Monthly New Product Plan", before the launch of the Acriche A8, the global company has launched two high-brightness DC LED products and the Acriche A7.

The new Acriche A8 has a very high light efficiency and can replace a 60W incandescent lamp with just one Acriche A8 chip. Unlike many DC LED chips that have to be packaged on expensive metal substrates because of thermal issues, the Acriche A8 not only eliminates the SMD (surface mount) process, but also eliminates the need for an AC and DC converter, so the Acriche A8 is More competitive in cost. Acriche is one of Seoul Semiconductor's flagship products that operate under both AC and DC power. Whether accessing 110V/220V common AC or other low voltage or high voltage power supplies, Acriche does not need to add a converter when working.

The Acriche A8 is an LED chip specially designed for downlights, and the downlight is currently the most popular LED lighting product. Key features of the Acriche A8 include: 25x22x2mm ultra-thin package, COB package and brightness up to 700ml. Compared to similar products on the market, the Acriche A8 is superior in terms of light performance. Using an Acriche A8 chip is enough to replace a 60W bulb.

The Acriche A8 is especially suitable for applications such as incandescent, downlight and indoor lighting, and does not require any external converters, thus extending the life of LED luminaires. At present, due to the influence of the converter, the life of the DC LED lamp is only about 10,000 hours.

Seoul Semiconductor's latest Acriche (Acriche A7) products are in volume production, and the Acriche A8 series is available now.
