For the latest version of Compellent Storage Center 6.4 array software, Xu Liangmou said that a new generation of tools requires the use of previous-generation technology features, and that Compellent Storage Center 6.4 includes all the features of Storage Center 6.3, leveraging the capabilities of Compellent Storage Center 6.3 to fully exploit high-speed flash memory. Extend layered technology to deliver high-performance, high-density storage products that maximize the capabilities of Compellent's storage tiering technology.

When customers are on the big data road, they always want to be able to pursue speed and cost at the same time, taking into account the speed increase while reducing costs, because SLC write speed is faster and there are advantages in erasing this number, but the price is high, but MLC is with On the contrary, very limited write operations, large capacity, and relatively acceptable prices. So the hybrid all-flash array of SLC and MLC is considered a natural transition. In this regard, Dell also considered the needs of customers in this area.

Dell has introduced a flash optimization program that can implement an all-flash strategy. The new Storage Center 6.4 software allows users to mix SLC and MLC drivers in a Compellent storage array. There are two types of solid-state disks in the chassis, two-pole solid-state disks, and we will automatically make it the proper way of writing specifically and reading specifically. At the same time, when we take this data from hot to cold, every time we move to the MLC, we will do an automatic defragmentation, or when we move from the MLC to the SLC, we will automatically do a defragmentation. Since the SLC and MLC solid state disks can be mixed and placed in the Compellent storage array, the user can consider the capacity problem. Dell's second product is the Dell Compellent SC280, which is a dense 5U chassis. A 5U box can hold 84 disks. When Xu Liangmou introduced Fulid File V3, Dell integrated Ocarina's compression engine into Fluid File System v3. It has policy-based deduplication features, variable block data reduction, and redundant data compression features.
