European semiconductor equipment "sea seal" plan progressed smoothly in the first year

A semiconductor equipment innovation evaluation plan (Semiconductor Equipment Assessment Leveraging Innovation-SEAL), funded by the EU with funding of 14 million Euros, 38 European manufacturers and research institutes, has been progressing smoothly for a year. The project's annual review report recently praised three manufacturers and research institutes, including Siltronic AG, Fries Research & Technology and Fraunhofer-Institutof Integrierte Systeme.

The purpose of the "Seal" program is to enable small and medium-sized European semiconductor equipment manufacturers to benefit from a network of manufacturers and research institutes, thereby strengthening European semiconductor equipment manufacturing status and global competitiveness.
