After the release of this updated directive, EU member states were required to implement it by December 31, 2016. From July 22, 2019, all electrical and electronic products exported to Europe (except medical and monitoring equipment) must comply with these restrictions. By July 22, 2021, medical and monitoring equipment will also be included. Additionally, toy products already under REACH Annex XVII are not subject to DEHP, BBP, and DBP controls under this directive.
