In 1989, after Zhuge Xianglin graduated from junior high school, he went to work with his father at home and studied woodworking (Zhuge Xianglin is a carpenter family). In the eyes of rural people, woodworking is a more technical activity. Zhuge Xianglin studied the carpentry at the same time, and learned the temperament by himself, and looked at the famous Chinese classics "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "Dream of Red Mansions" until he was proficient. While studying these, Zhuge Xianglin also learned the textbooks of high Chinese history. He always loves learning so much. This seems to be a potential. Zhuge Xianglin did not delay the carpenter's work because he was not doing business. On the contrary, he quickly learned the essence of his father's carpenter's life, and he was able to stand alone. In the eyes of his father, Zhuge Xianglin is his best apprentice, which is the most gratifying thing for him.
However, Zhuge Xianglin was always so uneasy. In 1990, he owned a self-operated weaving factory at home, and he was the director and technician. In his busy work, he did not forget to study. In 1991, he participated in the National Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition and won the award for masterpiece. In 1992, he participated in the National Poetry Competition and won the Excellence Award. In 1993, he studied oil painting at the Education College of Linyi City, Shandong Province.
Why do you learn so much knowledge? Because Zhuge Xianglin still has a bigger ideal in his heart, that is, to walk out of the countryside and create a sky of his own.
In 1994, Zhuge Xianglin was a graphic designer at Yimeng Advertising Co., Linyi City, Shandong Province. It is reasonable to say that the designer should be a very good profession, but no one expected that one year later, Zhuge Xianglin ran to a construction company to do carpentry, one year is a year.
In 1996, Zhuge Xianglin came to Shenzhen, a place full of hustle and bustle. However, although Zhuge Xianglin has done a lot of jobs and done a great job, he has no diplomas and he is hitting the wall when he is looking for work. Helpless, Zhuge Xianglin had to return to the old industry, started a carpentry in the Qingqing World in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, and did some live attractions (there are many garden attractions in the Qingqing world that are artificially displayed). In the eyes of others, this work is only arranged according to the designer's meaning or according to the plan of the drawings. However, Zhuge Xianglin always likes to add his own ideas to set up garden attractions. Slowly, the company leaders found that Zhuge Xiang Lin's garden attractions always make people shine, always find a lot of innovative things, so he transferred him to the design department as a designer. During his time as a designer, Zhuge Xianglin participated in the design of various outdoor garden attractions and participated in two indoor flower and green indoor plant exhibitions.
Learning is endless, and Zhuge Xianglin always likes to learn continuously. The first job in Shenzhen made him feel the importance of learning. So, while he was working, he also studied and taught the Chinese calligraphy and painting correspondence university course. In 1999, he participated in the Guangdong Provincial Unified Examination and became a member of the Shenzhen University Night University.
At the beginning of 2000, Zhuge Xianglin was at Shangjin Design Company (Shangjin Company was the first company to advocate fee design. At that time, many decoration companies could not receive design fees), and as a designer, he began to grow rapidly in the design field. When I got up, I was promoted to design director a year later.
In 2004, Zhuge Xianglin graduated from Shenzhen University at night. He was dissatisfied with the status quo. He left the company and created the 0.618 Golden Section Design Office. He won numerous awards since then, such as Nobel from 2006 to 2007. Tile Best Tile Application Award, Sunshine Green Cup Design Competition, etc.
It is no accident that Zhuge Xianglin is succeeding step by step. He is a person who knows how to create opportunities, and only such people will reach the other side of success faster than ordinary people.
How big is the heart, how big is the design space
Zhuge Xianglin not only knows woodworking, architecture, oil painting, carving, but also knows how to make ceramics. And everything is done very fine and fine. The author smiled and asked him: If you give a flat land, it is estimated that you can start a beautiful house. Zhuge Xianglin said with a smile: My rich life experience is the biggest capital I designed.
Zhuge Xianglin believes that the most basic thing for designers is to understand the application of materials. If the stone glue line does not know what it is, then how can he design? Those students who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts come to our design company to do things. We must train them for at least two to three years before they understand how interior design is going. How big is your heart, how big is your design space, this is what Zhuge Xianglin often said. He said that many designers stayed overseas to study design, and in the end they did not make any name. Why? It is because his heart is still closed and does not really absorb the essence of foreign design. In the end, it also led to the lack of self-design style of his work. Design concepts are sometimes illusory, too much design space imagining sometimes can't be reality, this is not what the owner needs, they need something that can be truly displayed like a rendering. How can we truly present the renderings to the owners? This requires a comprehensive knowledge of the designers. It is necessary to understand the spatial layout, to understand the application of decorative materials, to understand lighting applications and so on. The finer the design, the better. I think this is the only way to design a good work.
Zhuge Xianglin is the kind of person who knows even murals and ceramic crafts. In addition, Zhuge Xianglin is still a very understanding of life. When asked if he is busy with design, will he work overtime like many designers. He smiled and said, I am against the design of people who work overtime. Designers are a very elegant and noble profession in the West. The domestic designer seems to be a busy machine. I often go to play with friends or walk around. Designers spend more time thinking, not design. If you just design and don't think about it, you can imagine what the result is.
Having said that, the author suddenly fell into thinking. Zhuge Xianglin said that the interior design cannot be too commercialized. We have to face the design with the artist's attitude, instead of making ourselves a painter-style designer, we only know how to copy it. If that is the case, how sad it is.

When I came to the design office of Zhuge Xianglin, the author was scared by the scene. The room door inside is slanting, and the things are messy. It seems that there has just been an earthquake. Zhuge Xianglin said with a smile: It must be related, our family is the descendant of Zhuge, Zhuge is the brother of Zhuge Liang.
