Apple ranks among the world's top three mobile PC sales

Apple ranks among the world's top three mobile PC sales Analytical firm DisplaySearch recently released its survey report on the global mobile PC market in the third quarter of this year. Unlike other statistical classification methods, DisplaySearch defines a "mobile PC" that includes both notebooks, netbooks, and tablets. Therefore, with the iPad's huge sales, Apple jumped into the top three global mobile PC sales.

The report shows that HP's shipment of 9.5 million units and 17.3% of the market share continue to hold the position of global mobile PC sales champion. The rankings are followed by Acer’s 9.1 million units, with 16.5% of the market; Apple’s 6.3 million units, with 12.4% of the market; Dell’s 6.1 million units, and the city’s 11%; and Toshiba’s 4.3 million units, with 8% of the market. If you exclude iPad sales, Apple's market share will only be 4.8%, ranking eighth.

DisplaySearch analysts said that due to the lack of competition from other manufacturers with strong products, Apple is still in a thriving state in the tablet machine market. iPad sales currently account for 8% of the global "mobile PC" total sales. Most of its sales come from developed countries, especially the North American market. In the United States, Apple has become the champion of the local mobile PC market share with the iPad.

However, the report also pointed out the current problems with the iPad. Since most of the content is clearly aimed at Western users, the only developed country market where iPad sales are weak is Japan. Users who are not English-speaking countries have a limited number of iPad apps available, and the need to connect to iTunes download software will cause the iPad to slow down in developing countries. Analysts specifically pointed out that as other large companies gradually enter the tablet market, the iPad will be worth looking forward to in the developing countries, especially the rapid growth of the consumer market of personal electronic products.
