Surface Dial was an unexpected surprise at the Microsoft conference last week. It has been designed as an input device for auxiliary mouse, touch, and stylus pens. In drawing applications such as Sketchable and Sketchpad, users can use it to claim a circular menu to quickly select colors and brushes. At the same time, it can also be used to control basic system functions such as volume and zoom.
