The Industrial Big Data Industry Application Alliance was officially launched on Friday, marking a significant step forward in the integration of big data and industrial development. Yang Yuanqing, Chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group, emphasized that "Without data, there is no intelligence; without big data applications, there is no industrial intelligence." His words highlight the growing importance of data-driven decision-making in modern industry.
According to a reporter from the Beijing Morning Post, the alliance was jointly initiated by Lenovo Group, the China Electronics Standardization Institute, and several leading companies in the industry. Its main goal is to build a comprehensive technology innovation chain for industrial big data, enabling deeper integration and practical application across various sectors. The alliance currently includes over 80 member companies, spanning fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, AR/VR, and robotics.
Yang Yuanqing reiterated that the core of the Industrial Internet lies in achieving industrial intelligence, which relies heavily on big data applications. Lenovo aims to leverage the alliance to promote the adoption of big data solutions and drive intelligent upgrades across industries. He added, "In practice, we have deeply realized that without data, there is no intelligence; without big data applications, there is no industrial intelligence."
At the event, Lenovo also officially unveiled its Data Intelligence Strategy and introduced its Industrial Internet platform. The company plans to target 100,000 businesses over the next five years, aiming to lead a new wave of digital transformation and upgrading for enterprises.
Yang Yuanqing further stated that intelligence has become a central focus for Lenovo's overall strategy. "Intelligence will not only transform every part of our value chain, but it will also become the core of our business model and strategy, running through all of our current and future operations," he said.
Additionally, the Industrial Big Data Industry Application Base established by Lenovo was officially completed on the same day. Located in the Zhongguancun Dongsheng Science and Technology Park, the base will offer three-dimensional support to alliance members through four sub-centers: a unified platform, data sharing, joint R&D, and business incubation and marketing promotion. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance collaboration and innovation within the industrial big data ecosystem.
