Design Ingo Maurer is a German lighting designer and has a reputation as a poet of light. Following the previously reported streetlights, Ingo Maurer, who calls himself the enchanter of light, brought his own streetlight, Guddevol (a good trip to Luxembourgish).

“The light of the light can inspire people’s imagination. The lighting area is like a stage. Children can sing and play and play around. The lights will also create a special sense of group, attracting a group of adults, sitting below Chatting and enjoying people and promoting mutual communication, this is the design inspiration of street lights. According to official reports, Guddevol first introduced Luxembourg in 2014 and plans to install more such street lights in the city centre in 2016.

The Guddevol street light is in the shape of a disc, similar to a UFO. It consists of five large round lamps with a diameter of approximately 420 cm and an opening at the center. LED lights are embedded in the opening of the curve , and a circle of light illuminates the surface of the disc to form a white ring. The round lamp is supported by three thin frames and maintains a certain inclination with the ground, full of artistic beauty.

“Guddevol is carefully designed to illuminate the ground while avoiding the upward dispersion of lights,” says the designer.

Ingo Maurer once said meaningfully, "A lamp that is brighter than the sun and the moon is actually the light in everyone's heart. Light up the light in your heart, and any ordinary things in life can be beautiful."
