The load-carrying high-temperature cable is mainly used to reduce the outer diameter and weight of the cable under the premise of current-carrying, and it has been developed to be lightweight. In general, the higher the operating temperature of the cable, the greater the ampacity of the same cross-section cable. In areas such as aircrafts and automobiles, the significance of weight reduction is considerable, and the use of high-temperature cables greatly reduces the cross section. When the operating temperature is increased from 90°C to 155°C, the current carrying capacity increases by 50%. At the same current carrying capacity, the cable weight is reduced by half and the cost is also reduced. Of course, at the same time as high cutoff, most of the insulation material will also have an increase in power consumption.
