The most rigorous test in history Sharp TV endorsed with ingenuity

In the past, Sharp, known for its artisan spirit and focus on a quality lifestyle, became a symbol of Japanese innovation. After being acquired by Foxconn, the company's craftsmanship not only survived but was further enhanced, ensuring top-tier product quality. Every Sharp television undergoes the most rigorous testing before it reaches the market, reflecting the brand’s deep-rooted commitment to excellence. Recently, during the “Coalizing Victoria Harbour, Lighting Up a New Future” event and the Hong Kong 8K 8 Life Show, media outlets were granted access to the mysterious Foxconn South China Testing Center. This facility is an independent third-party laboratory within Foxconn, responsible for product quality assurance, design verification, market compliance, and after-sales support. With 12 such centers across the country, the South China Testing Center plays a crucial role in ensuring that Sharp TVs meet global standards. According to Zhang Ping, a senior manager at the center, Sharp TVs are sent to these labs for comprehensive testing and certification. The lab follows the ISO 17025 international standard and is accredited by CNAS, ensuring that its reports are recognized worldwide. The testing process includes vibration impact, ambient temperature simulation, noise analysis, toxic substance testing, electromagnetic compatibility checks, and organic material evaluation. Sharp currently offers a wide range of television models, from flagship to more affordable options, all embodying the brand’s centuries-old craftsmanship and strict quality control. As Zhang Ping emphasized, every TV must be meticulously manufactured, tested, and inspected before leaving the factory. This ensures that consumers receive a product that is not only high-quality but also reliable. During the visit, Sharp demonstrated several key tests, including EMI (electromagnetic interference) radiation measurement and EMS (electromagnetic susceptibility) tolerance testing. These tests ensure that the TV can function properly even in the presence of external electromagnetic interference. Another critical test is the packaging simulation, which involves drop, squeeze, tape strength, and puncture resistance checks. By mimicking real-world logistics conditions, the tests verify that the TV remains undamaged during transport. The mechanical impact test uses gravity acceleration to simulate collisions, assessing the strength of both the product and its packaging. Similarly, the vibration experiment replicates the shaking experienced during air and truck transportation, ensuring the TV arrives intact. Over the years, Sharp has developed nine robust quality safety testing systems, all aimed at delivering a superior consumer experience. In today’s competitive market, where consumer demands are constantly rising, the importance of quality cannot be overstated. Returning to the essence of craftsmanship has become a necessity for home appliance companies aiming for sustainable growth.
