Analysis of the treatment of low voltage switch faults in power distribution cabinets

Low-voltage switches are appliances that use high frequency in low-voltage electrical appliances. They are often not used alone, but are installed in power distribution cabinets and distribution boxes for use with other electrical components in the circuit. First, a short circuit occurs in the switchboard of the power distribution cabinet

1. The support plate of the busbar in the power distribution cabinet (porcelain or glued wood) and the insulated base of the plug-in contact are dirty, damp, or mechanically damaged.

Treatment: Strengthen the regular cleaning inspection, the bakelite plywood and the base should be dried; the damaged equipment should be replaced in time, and the span of the busbar support splint should be shortened to improve its stability.

2. The electrical components in the power distribution cabinet are not properly selected (the segmentation capability is insufficient).

Treatment: According to the size of the load, choose the electrical appliance with the appropriate blocking capacity and design a reasonable protection circuit.

3. Misoperation

Treatment: Strictly implement the operating procedures, eliminate misuse, install a simple insulation cover, or install a plug-in insulation partition between adjacent switch boards.

4. After the power distribution cabinet was shut down for maintenance, the tools such as the wrench and the screwdriver were forgotten on the busbar due to negligence. The power supply was not carefully checked before the power transmission, and a short circuit occurred after the power transmission.

Treatment: It should be strictly in accordance with the relevant electrical maintenance procedures. After the inspection, you should tap the tools to prevent forgetting.

5. The switch board is short-circuited due to the small animals such as rats and snakes being drilled into the power distribution cabinet.

Treatment: The protective net can be installed to avoid small animals from drilling.

Second, the busbar connection in the power distribution cabinet is overheated

1. Poor contact with single rail busbar connector

Solution: The load should be transferred immediately. After the power is cut off, the contact area should be dismantled or replaced with a new busbar. For circuits that are not allowed to be powered off or transferred at one time, the fan can be temporarily forced to cool the contact, but it must be arranged as soon as possible. Overhaul; the application of conductive paste has a good effect on preventing galvanic corrosion at the contact and reducing the contact resistance of the joint. Therefore, whether it is disassembling or replacing the new busbar, DJG-I and II type conductive paste should be applied at the contact of the busbar. The non-contact part of the newly replaced busbar should be painted, and the paint can improve the comprehensive heat dissipation and reduce the temperature rise of the body. For the same busbar, the temperature rise of the busbar after painting is about 74% of the unpainted.

2. The butt bolt of the distribution cabinet busbar is too tight or too loose

Treatment: The bolt is tightened too tightly, the part of the busbar washer is compressed, the section is reduced, and the heat is generated after the current passes. At the same time, the busbar gasket portion will be further compressed due to the large expansion of the aluminum and copper. When the current is reduced, the temperature is lowered, and the busbar shrinkage ratio is larger than that of the bolt, so that a gap is formed to increase the contact resistance. Moreover, as the temperature increases, the contact resistance will become larger, causing the bolted portion to overheat. The bolt is screwed to Guosong, the busbar is in poor contact, and the contact resistance is large, which will of course cause overheating at the joint. Therefore, when tightening the busbar butt bolts, the degree of tightness should be appropriate, generally tightened until the spring washers are flattened. Replace the failed spring washer and the bolt and nut of the slider.
