December 24 — Mobike has rolled out a festive surprise this holiday season, bringing a touch of warmth to the cold winter with its "Christmas Songs" interactive experience. But that's just the beginning. The brand has now introduced a new feature called "Cat Bike," turning ordinary bicycles into playful, augmented reality (AR) experiences.
By scanning a Mobike bike with your phone, you can summon a cute kitten right on your screen. This fun initiative is currently available in several cities across Zhejiang Province, including Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Jinghua, and Quzhou. A total of nearly 5,000 physical AR-enabled bikes have been launched, offering users a unique way to engage with the brand.
The campaign is a collaboration between Mobike and NetEase Insight. Each bike features a special design in its basket, allowing users to randomly summon an adorable AR cat with different poses. As you scan the bike, you'll see the cat appear on your mobile screen, making for a delightful and interactive experience.
In addition to the AR feature, the event also brought a wave of "cat fever" in Hangzhou from December 22 to 23. The Mobike app was filled with cat-themed elements, including cat faces on the interface and cat-shaped icons on the monthly cards. Every detail was infused with a "cat obsession," creating a fun and immersive atmosphere for users.
Even the Mobike monthly card was transformed into a comet-themed design, letting users feel like they're surrounded by cats all the time. It's more than just a ride — it's an experience filled with cuteness and excitement. Whether you're riding a bike or simply browsing the app, there's no escaping the charm of these adorable feline friends. One "suck" is definitely not enough!
