Due to the wear and tear on the facade of the building, owner Steen & Strm hired the architect LPO Architect to renovate a new facade to increase the appeal of this important location. In the end, the architect used a combination of wood veneer and glass to create a translucent light façade. During the day, this new facade enhances the visual quality of the square, but in the evening it is dark and loses its aesthetic appeal.
Therefore, the owner has also hired lighting design company AF Lighting to design a lighting solution that will revitalize the façade at night and emphasize the architectural ideas without adding any new visual disturbances. The lighting designer illuminates from the back of the wood veneer, highlights the figure, illuminates the exterior wall, and the texture of the wood veneer contrasts with the glass texture. The lighting solution consumes very little in terms of operation and maintenance and does not cause any glare. Using minimal energy consumption, it creates a high visual comfort lighting effect, expressing the architect's creation of a floating and lightweight façade design concept.
