[PConline Game Raiders] Jedi has officially launched the 1.0 version of the game, and one of the most talked-about features is the desert map. Some players love it, while others find it challenging to choose which old maps to play. Of course, there's a brand-new experience waiting for you, and it's time to upgrade your skills. If you're not sure how to play, keep reading — I've got some tips for you in this Raiders guide.
About the new map:
The Miramar map is one of the most significant updates in PUBG. The ocean area has been significantly reduced, making the land area larger than before. Even though the overall size of the map is similar to the previous version, many players feel like it's bigger. This increase in land area makes vehicles more important than ever. Without the right vehicle, you might find yourself stuck in a toxic zone or running out of supplies. Resource points are now spread out, so finding the right vehicle becomes a top priority. Also, road and off-road differences have become more pronounced, so choosing the right vehicle can make a big difference. For example, a van may struggle on rough terrain, making it less effective for off-road travel.
The new map also offers a wider field of vision, which may be challenging for players used to close-quarters combat. Long-range battles will be more common, so practicing long-distance shooting is essential if you want to win. A well-placed shot from far away could be the key to victory.
About new weapons:
The Desert Map brings three exclusive weapons, each with unique characteristics that can give you an edge in battle.
R45
Positioning: Short-range sniper rifle
The R45 is a short-range sniper rifle that holds six .45 caliber bullets. It can be equipped with a red dot sight and replaces the R1895. It has higher accuracy, faster reload speed, and is easier to handle, but it’s less powerful and less forgiving in direct fire situations. If you land in a crowded area early in the match, the R45 can be a great choice for street fighting, especially for headshots that can instantly eliminate enemies.
Win94
Positioning: Overused sniper rifle
The Win94 is a manually cocked rifle that fires slowly and isn’t ideal for close combat. It doesn’t support any attachments, meaning your hit rate depends entirely on your marksmanship. However, it’s incredibly powerful — even a Class 2 helmet won't save you from a headshot. Players who are comfortable with long-range shooting should consider practicing with the Win94, as it can be a strong early-game sniping option in resource-scarce environments.
Sawed-Off
Positioning: Close-range combat weapon
The Sawed-Off is a short-range shotgun that holds 12 pellets. It can’t be equipped with any accessories, but it can fire two shots in quick succession, giving it a unique advantage over other shotguns. While its damage is slightly lower, its versatility makes it a great choice when you need a reliable close-range weapon. It's essentially a shotgun with pistol-like portability, so you don't have to worry about carrying extra ammo or a sniper rifle.
DP-28
Positioning: Team fire suppression
The DP-28 is a light machine gun designed for kneeling use. Its front tripod helps reduce recoil, allowing for stable fire support. However, it's less effective when moving or standing due to high recoil and muzzle jump. It's best used in team-based scenarios where you can provide consistent fire coverage. If used properly, it can dominate in team fights.
AUGA3
Positioning: Chicken artifact
The AUGA3 is a high-performance assault rifle obtainable only via air drops. It uses 5.56mm ammunition and has a 30-round magazine (expandable to 40). It has almost no recoil, making it extremely stable in any position. You can attach various accessories like silencers, muzzle brakes, and grips to enhance performance. Its fast firing rate and stability make it a must-have for late-game success. Once you pick it up, your chances of winning a match significantly increase.
About the new vehicle:
Van
Positioning: Moving bunker
The Van is a six-seater vehicle ideal for team movement. Although it's slower, its high durability makes it a mobile fortress. When under attack, it can quickly escape, making it a popular choice among teams.
Pickup
Positioning: Off-road vehicle
The Pickup is a four-seater off-road vehicle with excellent climbing ability, perfect for navigating the rugged terrain of Miramar. It's similar to a jeep in performance but has higher fuel consumption.
Aquarail
Positioning: Fast and flexible
The Aquarail is a two-seater jet ski that reaches speeds up to 90 km/h. It's highly maneuverable and stable, making it hard to hit with proper driving. The rear seat can also fire, combining speed and firepower. It's a favorite among players who prefer guerrilla-style tactics.
About gameplay updates
This update brings a more realistic experience, including improved bullet physics. Bullets now lose speed over distance, affecting trajectory and drop. Players will need to adjust their aiming techniques accordingly. The scope system has also been updated, requiring different sights depending on the enemy's distance.
The update also removed large jumps and added a climbing system, allowing players to reach previously inaccessible areas. This change increases the danger of being ambushed from above, so players need to be more alert. Climbing itself is risky, as you can't shoot while climbing, so always ensure you're in a safe spot before attempting to scale a wall. Overall, these changes add more depth and strategy to the game.
