According to foreign media reports, Apple ’s recently released third-generation iPod shuffle uses an aluminum casing with a capacity of 4GB, a size smaller than an AA battery, and weighs less than 11 grams.
The self-service professional website iFixit claims that a 17-inch MacBook Pro notebook weighs 286 third-generation shuffles. The size of the battery is smaller, which is equivalent to a coin of 10 cents, which is less than half of the previous shuffle battery, and the capacity is 73 mAh.

iFixit found that the third-generation shuffle is not compatible with the second-generation base, and the second-generation shuffle cannot use the third-generation shuffle cable. Users can still use third-party headphones to listen to music, but they cannot change the song being played and adjust the volume.

After removing the case, the battery and circuit weighed only 4 grams. The circuit board consisting of the processor, RAM and 4GB flash memory is connected to the battery, and the headphone jack and switch are on another circuit board.
