0 Overview

The home network access to the Internet currently mainly connects to the Internet through a PC and uses an embedded product to access the Internet through an Ethernet controller. The advantages of the former are obvious, such as flexibility, a large number of existing software environments available, and advanced user interfaces and software tools. But for smart home networks, users of the network want to get services quickly and easily, with as few familiar operations as possible, and can monitor the devices in the home from anywhere; PCs cannot move at will, Device control is limited. Therefore, in the smart home network, the design of the gateway product mainly adopts the embedded system.

A smart home gateway can be seen as an information processing system. The units that make up the system are the devices connected to each node of the network. On the one hand, the control platform assists devices that do not have informatization conditions to realize informationization, that is, provides information processing capabilities; on the other hand, it provides a unified information exchange interface and control rules to realize interoperability from internal home network to Internet information. At present, there are two ways to realize information management and protocol conversion: one is: browser + WEB Server + CGI technology; the other is: monitoring software ten application server + field bus drive technology [1]. The technology based on browser + WEB Server + CGI can only obtain node information in a single home network. The monitoring software + application server ten field bus drive-based technology can simultaneously obtain the node information of multiple home networks, which helps to realize real-time monitoring of similar nodes of multiple home networks [2] (such as Internet traffic monitoring) ). In recent years, the protocol conversion of smart home network systems developed by many domestic universities and some well-known enterprises has mainly focused on: browser + WEB Server + CGI technology, and has limitations in application scope. In view of the defects of existing gateway products, this paper focuses on: monitoring software + application server + fieldbus driver technology as the core technology, and browser + WEB Server + CGI for the auxiliary technology design and implementation of the home gateway.

1 Overall design analysis

1.1 Design requirements for smart home gateways

The home gateway is similar to a large computer system, with all the home devices connected to it and controlled by it. In general, the gateway has three functions:

1) Internet access functions, including routing, NAT (address translation), etc.;
